It aims to protect and maintain the phytosanitary status of the national forestry and agricultural productive resource. Its main activities include:
To prevent the entry of regulated pests into the country and newly introduced pests into the country through surveillance activities in the national territory, updated registry of pests associated with agriculture and forestry, timely actions against to a new pest in order to eradicate or reduce its economic impacts.
